Clubs & Activities

Because the Journey Matters...

Fortville Elementary School (FES) offers several extracurricular activities for students to get involved in.  FES staff know that getting students involved in opportunities they are interested in Engages and Empowers students to discover their strengths.

Many of the extracurricular activities have been successful in meeting the students' goals.  Success is defined here as providing a positive experience that builds students' character, helps identify strengths and enriches the students' lives.

Fortville Elementary has many activities in which the students enjoy participating. These activities begin before school or last until past regular school hours.  The following is a list of some of the activities and clubs that are offered (if funding is available):

T-Races
While students in grades one and two may participate in T-Races in the classroom and school, third, fourth & fifth grade students have the opportunity to win the school T-Race in addition and multiplication. School finalists come from each third, fourth, & fifth grade classroom. One winner in each category from each school gets his/her name on the Trace plaque in the Administration Office.

Spelling Bee
Third, fourth, & fifth grade students participate in a classroom spelling bee. The two finalists from each classroom face head to head competition in the school spelling bee. The school winner advances to district competition and receives his/her name on the Spelling Bee plaque in the Administration Office.

Fortville Elementary School Extracurricular Activities:

FES has several extra curricular activities to enhance student learning and service. These are based on this school year’s budget and the future of some is uncertain at this point.
